Brian Ziesmer P.E.
Electrical and Control Systems Engineer
Brian earned his BSEE degree from Washington State University in 1991, and developed his engineering skills in Western Washington until earning his Professional Engineering certification in both Electrical and Control Systems Engineering in 2001.
Brian and his family moved to the Wenatchee Valley in 2001 to open a branch office for a Seattle based firm. Following a corporate merger in 2006, he founded Z Engineers.
Brian serves as the President and Principal Engineer for Z Engineers, and oversees the daily operation of the business including engineering, project budgeting, proposal development and allocation of staff and resources.
He has over 24 years of electrical engineering and control system design experience, including power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, motor control, instrumentation, PLC and SCADA system design and programming, and construction administration.
Brian maintains Professional Engineering licenses in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California.
Wesley Ward P.E.
Wesley is a 2001 graduate of Wenatchee High school and earned his BSEET degree from Central Washington University in 2006.
He worked at Seattle based engineering firms until 2013, when he returned home to join the Z Engineers team.
Wesley has a wide range of electrical engineering skills for the healthcare, educational, military, and commercial industries. He is experienced in design for power distribution systems from Utility coordination and power system modeling to branch circuiting and design with AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) with Autodesk Revit. He is experienced in fire alarm, electronic access control, public address/intercom, and telecommunications system design.
Wesley is an experienced lighting system designer, and skilled with lighting design and rendering software AGi32. He is focused on emerging market technologies and providing energy efficient designs for clients.
His lighting background also includes extensive experience in sports field lighting for recreational, high school, and collegiate level athletic facilities.
Wesley is registered as an Electrical Professional Engineer in Washington State.
Control System Technician
Adam joined the Z Engineers team in 2007, when he was hired after earning his ISA certification in instrumentation and control systems technology from Perry Tech in Yakima, WA.
Adam is an experienced electrical and control systems designer, and a talented PLC and SCADA system programmer.
He is experienced with AutoCAD for a wide range of designs in close coordination with engineering teams and equipment manufacturers.
Adam has developed multiple SCADA applications using Wonderware, Rockwell Automation, and GE iFix software packages.
Adam has extensive control system programming and commissioning experience with many PLC systems including Rockwell/Allen Bradley, GE, Koyo, Siemens, and others.
Adam proudly served in Iraq as an Infantryman Squad Team leader from 2003 to 2005.
Control System Technician
Greg is a skilled instrumentation technician, electrical and control systems designer, and PLC and SCADA system programmer.
Greg earned his ISA certification in instrumentation and control systems technology in 2007 from Perry Tech in Yakima, WA. He worked as an instrumentation technician in San Diego CA, and joined Z Engineers in 2011.
Greg is an experienced AutoCAD designer, and has worked on many small and large scale projects.
Greg has developed multiple SCADA applications using Wonderware, Rockwell Automation, and GE iFix software packages.
He is experienced with the Rockwell Automation suite of PLC and operator interface programming software.
Paula performs the administrative tasks for the business including office management, accounting, employee resources and benefits.
She is a Wenatchee native and also attended Washington State University.
Electrical Engineer, EIT
Matt joined the Z Engineers team in 2016 after moving to Wenatchee from Sterling, Alaska.
While in Alaska, Matt began his career in the electrical industry working as an electrician for residential, commercial and industrial projects. He then attended the University of Alaska Anchorage and earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in 2014.
Matt worked in Alaska at an electrical engineering consulting firm on a wide variety of projects including highway lighting, traffic sensing and signaling, airport lighting, municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, lift station, pump stations and more.
His design skills include power system modeling, lighting design and rendering, AutoCAD drafting, project specifications, cost estimating, and project management.
Matt is registered as an Engineer-in-Training in Washington State, and will be taking the Professional Engineering exam in early 2018.
